About

Engineer with a soft spot for old computers, small teams, and software that ages well.

I'm Waqas — a software engineer with a soft spot for old computers, small teams, and software that gets better with time.

For the past years I've worked on backend systems, developer tools, and the unglamorous infrastructure that holds modern products together. I care about the seams: how systems handle the things they weren't built for.

Outside of work I write essays, maintain a few open-source things, and run badly. Based in Pakistan, raised in Sukkur, comfortable in five languages.
